Join us for a chat with New York Times bestselling author Shelby Van Pelt, author of beloved novel Remarkably Bright Creatures. You don’t want to miss this deep-dive exploration of friendship, reckoning, hope, and so much more! This virtual author talk is offered through the Library Speakers Consortium, and you can join the conversation in one of two ways:
 
  1. Come to the Bettendorf Public Library to watch this event.
  2. Register to receive a webinar link for viewing the program. Registering also allows you to submit questions for Shelby Van Pelt, which will be answered as time permits. (If registering to submit questions, you are still welcome to attend the event in person at the Library.)

Teen Leadership Committee (TLC) is a group of enthusiastic teenagers who collaborate with library staff to enhance services and programs.
 
Members suggest and plan programming, advocate for the needs of young adults, and recommend titles. Earning service learning hours is the bonus of being part of such an exciting group of passionate students.

Memory Circle offers a relaxing and comfortable environment for adults living with dementia and their caregivers to enjoy stimulating activities, socialization, and reminiscence.
 
This program is offered in collaboration with the Iowa Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and is sponsored by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.

Library Card Design Contest winners announced soon!
Are you ready to see the winners of our 2024 Library Card Design Contest? Full designs will be revealed September 3 to kick off Library Card Sign-Up Month. Library cards featuring the new designs will become available to Bettendorf residents the same day. New and replacement library cards are available at no charge.
